Summer cont...

Summer has been great so far. Between trips to the beach, moving, our countless hobbies and extra time together we are really enjoying ourselves. Here are some photos of what we've enjoyed doing.

Some photos of our new home for the next few years. Our backyard; we inherited a giant trampoline!

Katie deep cleaned the kitchen while I cleaned the garage.

Backyard. The grass is starting to green up after watering it morning and night.

In the anatomy lab. Dr. Valenzuela giving us an inservice on how to dissect the gluteal muscles and upper leg.
Joe and Alan goofing off during some lab down time.

Every wednesday we go to Tony's house and eat lunch and cool off with some volleyball in the pool.

Some of the T.A.'s writing test questions for a Friday test.
I discovered some backcountry mountain biking. It was actually quite scenic.

Rochelle taking a spill.

In my freetime i've attempted refinishing some furniture. This is a solid oak table with what seems to be 5 layers of paint on it. It was given to us. Thanks Chad and Adrienne. Our dresser. Almost complete! Just needs knobs.I built Katie a potting table. She's excited for her herb and flower gardens!

A great start to summer...

What do you get when you camp and hike in the mountains one day and lounge around on the beach the next? Sunburn and a headache. But totally worth it! Gallons of aloe and a few ibprophen is enough to get you to sleep and rested for Monday morning.

We spend today at San Clemente Beach. Lots of sun, soft serve, fish tacos, volleyball, 4 foot waves and good company made for a wonderful ideal California day.

Pedro's Tacos, not edrod's.It was wonderful to get Katie out into the water. She actually stayed in longer than I did. We saw a good 100 waves in the time we were in there and I got a laugh out of her after each one. She loved it!

The end of our day. The sun burn was starting to sink in. You can see it in our smiles.
Just a day earlier, Friday night we headed up to Mt. Baldy. We pitched camp and enjoyed dinner with a totally different group of people. Taco salad for dinner, brunch was a spread of different good eats, and smores of course.

Kate and I, Curt and Jody, Luke on Curt's back, Jeff, Eric and Lindsey, Raelene(Jeff's wife).

Giant Sequoias. (The picture below, not above)
This was by far the best hiking we've seen in Southern California.
Katie waiting for me and giving me the "enough with all the pictures" look.
Base camp; dinner.

A visit from Nathan Cooke, Josh Lamb and his bro was a breath of fresh air. Nate and I are old roommates and all of us have great memories from Spokane. The brothers live in Hollywood now. They just directed a movie and are working on a second one. Nate is looking to move to Virginia and marry a girl and get a job as a pilot.I will post more this week. I have pics from my job as a Teachers assistant and all the wood working we've done. I will also get over to our new home and take some pictures. We move in at the end of this month! Come visit! You won't be disappointed and will be taken care of.
