Men's Ministry and Women's Ministry

Katie took off last weekend and went up to the "mountains" for a retreat with the women's ministry. She, along with Shari, led the music. At least that's what I heard. I wasn't there.
Katie, Sarah Beth, and Rebbecca. Jeremy, Jason, Joel...Sarah Beth is single.I took a morning off studying and hit the golf course. It was a fundraiser to raise money for the youth group. We had a blast. I arrived at 7 am to find the other three in my group already hitting balls.
Ryan, Brian, Mike and I. This was only Mike and Ryan's second time on the golf course. It was interesting and let me tell you the home owners on the course are lucky to have damage insurance. At the end Mike said, "Dude, I only lost six balls today!" Good job Mike.
There was a great turn out. Some how we won a trophy. It might be 10th place but whatever.
I stole this photo from face book. Some one took it without me knowing. Dad, let me know what i'm doing wrong.
Till next time...maybe the beach this weekend. We'll see.

100 Degrees in April??

Wow! It's hot outside. That's ok. Just as long as it's cool in the house and at night. Sorry about the delay in postings. I (scott) am having things thrown at me from every which way. This quarter is short so that means more time in class and less time out. That means things get cut out of the schedule...fun, t.v. time, unfortunately exercise, bloging, etc...

But I know people check our blog and want us to update. So here is a quick one.

Katie went on a women's retreat this past weekend. She said it went well and left feeling encouraged by the testimonies of many of the women. She also developed better friendships with some of the women her age as the younger population continues to grow at our church. She led worship with a friend and was able to incorporate playing piano into the worship, which has been really fun for her.

I am eating, studying, and sleeping. Really, that is it. I signed up for a golf tournament to raise money for the church youth group. That is Saturday. 5 more weeks of school. (not including this week) One week of exams. Two week internship. Then one year down and two to go. I guess that went fast. Yeah...not at all.

Kate and I look forward to seeing most of you who read this in the upcoming months. We will bring hugs, stories, and hopefully good company.

Scott

Single Parent Family Fair @ Trinity

Katie and I served today at our Single Parent Family Fair hosted by our church, Trinity. It was a time for single parents to bring there kids for a day of fun while they get pampered with a car wash, massage, free everything, car check up, and anything else they need. I was on the car washing team. Some of the cars were so dirty. It was great to help them out.
This is Brian and Adam. Set up throughout the campus were booths intended to help out single parents with every day stuff. Our friend Adam runs a gym in the area and he was giving fitness tips. Brian (w/ the balloon hat) was part the of welcoming team.

Somehow Katie's boss managed to sneak a free neck massage (the one in the middle)
This girl is staring down the weird puppet show that was going on.
Chick fil a was there passing out stuff.
This lady took family photos all day. The pics actually came out nice.
