The weeks are random like my thoughts.

I'm convinced to be a good writer (not that I'm attempting this) you need to get up early. Well for me at least.  My mind has the best ideas and things to talk about but I know that if I don't get out of bed I will forget it all by 7am.

Pool party/bath time.

Today, I start work on the north side of Spokane.  I don't know how I feel about this. Part of me is disappointed because it is so far from my house. At the same time I am excited because it is no where near my house.  The past month I've seen patients in the Spokane Valley and South Hill(where we live) . This has been a challenge because I now associate the Valley with old people that are either on hospice and dying or just really sick. I'm not sure I want to treat on the South Hill because then when I walk the dog I will pass houses and think, "Been in there. Boy that house smelled of cat pee and mildew." or "Poor lady has to walk up three steps to get into her house." I do not want my walks to consist of these things.

I learned how to set up a breast pump tonight.  Now I understand what my friend Jonny meant when his response to my text that Avery was born was, "Welcome to manhood."

I got to see Avery smile today...at noon.  This is a wonderful thing for a father to experience and those that get the opportunity are either looking for work or have awesome work.

Working hard during tummy time.

I hate that I have to qualify that I am going to use a computer in front of my patients.  I don't really understand how using a computer is anymore impersonal than using pen and paper.  I think most of my patients don't feel comfortable with the ideas of computers so they play them off as evil. Pen and paper or computer, you're still not looking at the patient and still seem uninterested in what they have to say.

Yes. You guest it.  I just pooped.

While i'm on technology, I love my I-phone. Yes, love.  I don't pull it out at the dinner table or always go to it when a friend asks a question that doesn't require an immediate answer but it does connect me with Avery.  I can be in the boonies and get pictures of Avery that were taken two minutes ago.  I can see her LIVE with facetime at 10 a.m. after she is fed, burped, changed and happy.  I have camera and video that document the simple moments like Avery sucking her thumb but with her index finger up to her second knuckle in her right nostril.  These moments keep the four of us in touch with all of you.
Poor shot but you get the picture. Multi tasking.
Relaxing and staying cool in this desert heat!
Above, Gracie looking to sneak a bite or two of Leila's food.

Have you ever had a Rainier cherry?  They are better than regular cherries in my opinion. I have eaten them every night this season.

Below, when I go to work, Katie, Avery and Leila enjoy girl time.  To manage the summer heat Leila sheds and Avery gets nakey.

Summer is triberry season. Katie and Aves met up with Rhoda and Jadon for some pickin'.  The best strawberries, cherries, and blueberries.
Yes, I bought this.  $200 bucks at a garage sale.  Killer deal and now no one has an excuse to not go with me.
I love golfing.  But I really love golfing with my father in law.  He builds my confidence.
Jay and Viv came over on a whim last weekend.  It was a joy to have them.  Viv and Avery enjoy a conversation Sunday morning.
 Yep, that's a dimple!
More summer concerts.  This one was in Manito Park.  We didn't stay for this one but enjoyed a nice walk through the park!
Duncan Gardens.  There are a couple people that I think of when I walk through Manito's gardens.  Those with a green thumb know who you are.
I titled the above photo: "Please. Step into my office."  Really it's just Katie and Avery doing some pilates but it sure looks like she's reclined in a chair ready to sell you a new car.
Dinner with the Archers was a highlight from the last week. Here are the girl's dolls enjoying leftovers.
I got to golf with three great guys Wednesday night.  Cliff, Bill, and Keith welcomed me into there golf group.

 Ethan and Avery.
More girl time.  Leila looks way to comfortable.  Almost like she's rubbing it in! Get off the bed!

Life is good.  We are happy.

Summer...the way it should be.

I hated hearing "You don't expect Spokane to be the same do you?" or "The grass won't be greener on the other side." Well, it is greener (not literally, it turns brown cause the temperature breaks 75 degrees here.) and our old friends have made us more than welcome as have some new ones.
Tonight we went to a concert in Audubon Park.  Despite average music we enjoyed time with some long time friends. Jason, Rachel, Hanna, and Jake.

Oh, these two pictures are while I was at work.  Beautiful scenery everyday.
Back to the concert...(im too lazy to organize these...)

 Hannah, picking clovers.
I must have taken 50 pictures tonight. All of Avery of course.

Can you count the bubbles?!

I got to bike with Jason on Wednesday morning. This is mile 14 on the way back. He later returned and floated the rapids farther down with a boogie board.

We also attended a wedding for our friend Lindsey Oliver on Wednesday at Greenbluff.  We had a great time and got to catch up with some old friends.

Here's Avery looking like she's training for a fitness competition.

Avery, during Skype with Gma and Gpa Worrell.
Since it was 4th of July on Wednesday, we got home after the wedding and put on appropriate attire for our next event. This cute dress is from Kate's grandma Kathy.

Here are a few other random pics from the last few days....

This is the first time in a long time...  Never breaking another w-a-l-k commitment with her again!

This got a lot of comments while in Costco.
Tummy time with Mommy.

More to come with pics of our living space.  We're getting carpet and laminate flooring put in sometime soon. Things are finally starting to get settled here and it's feeling more and more like home.
