We. Are. Bloomies!

Last weekend we headed to Spokane for the annual Lilac Bloomsday race. It's the world's largest 12k race. This was my third effort and Kate's fourth. She continues to improve her time and mine has slipped every year. We had a great time with friends enjoying good fellowship and sunshine.(Let's keep telling everyone it always rains in Washington!)
Pre-race tradition includes throwing the warmer layers into the surrounding trees to benefit those in need.

It's a hilly course that includes "doomsday" hill, a grueling one mile climb at mile six.

Downtown Spokane is a wonderful place! Family owned restaurants, parks, raging rapids, and oddities such as this giant red wagon make it a fun place.
Sharing in some much needed brother time with my closes friends.
Followed by a walk to Manito Park for some football toss. Leave it to Katie to capture the one moment I took it in my man parts.
Later that night we visited with some of our favorite people. Bill and Colleen Roe have been a huge blessing to us in the five years we have been married. This is a view of the northeastern part of the city from their condo.

Grace Elizabeth, the Roe's 10 year old beagle.
