Nothing new this week...

This is Scott. I'm sick. I feel like I stuffed a tennis ball between my eye balls. So much sinus pressure. I've been sick three times since December. I think it's the kids I work with. They are always sick.

School is a challenge. I made it out this week; above average for my class. Some how I manage two small jobs and school. Plus, Kate and I still have enough time for each other. Yeah, I know mom, that's probably why i'm sick.

It's been cold here at night. I often win the battle before bed over keeping the heat off in our house. It's so expensive. Yet, come three a.m. Katies in the middle of the bed so close to me as if to say, "turn it on or I own this bed!" One of my buddies out here says he fills water bottles with hot water and puts them under the sheets by his wifes feet. Good idea!

Katie and I enjoyed a date Friday night to Costco. Thank you Jay and Viv for the Costco Card. What a great gift! Between that and our rebate from our Costco credit card we were able to stock up on things for the next few months.

Gosh, i'm going to bed.

Downtown Disney & Medieval Times...

So today Kate and I went to Downtown Disney and Medieval Times today. Downtown Disney is like a mile stretch to the actual park. It's a big tease. At the end you wish you could go in the park but can't. Unless you want to pay of course. We will probably get season passes sometime in the next three years.
The hotels in the area are crazy nice. This picture doesn't do this spot justice. It was a walkway under a waterfall. There were a bunch of different paths.Mickey and Minnie. This guy was good. One man band. All percussion. We sat close to the King and princess's throne. I was embarrassed for the princess cause Katie was sitting there looking so much better than her. I mean look at that crown!Dinner was served on pewter plates and bowls. I thought of mom who collects pewter spoons. (You didn't have silverware. Only your hands.) She would have probably tried to sneak out with these. Here is a battle scene and the closing ceremonies at Midevil Times.

Random photos from the week.

Just thought I would add some random pictures. The Craftsman handles from my grill set. Yeah, I said Grill Set. I Bar-B-Que with these.
We had a visitor last Wednesday night. This is David Springer. I give him a lot of credit for my decision to go into Physical Therapy. He encouraged me to pursue it two years ago when Kate and I lived in Spokane. He graduated from Loma Linda and comes down here about three times a year to fit people for wheel chairs at local hospitals and care centers.
One thing that keeps me going is Katie's cooking. She cooks incredibly healthy and it tastes amazing!

Sunday we head into L.A. for a step back into Renaissance times. We've never been the chocolate and flowers couple on valentines day and it seems that our standards are too high for most restaurants. But it's still an excuse to do something so we are going to "Midevil Times." It's a show and dinner. You eat with your hands and people joust and sword fight in front of you.

More photos from the Chargers game

Here are a few more pics. Brain had a neat function on his camera. He could select certain colors and eliminate the rest. Here all colors except blue are eliminated.
The original.
Brian and I.Outside Qualcomm stadium.
We didn't end up going to Joshua Tree N.P. this weekend. Of all things...rain. Next weekend is a three day weekend so Kate and I will probably take a day to go to the beach or some other adventure.

Forest Falls, Photography, and Failing.

Kate and I took a break from Loma Linda and went up to Forest Falls, a wilderness area about a half hour away.
This is Southern California's largest waterfall. Coming from Washington, you can sense our disappointment when we saw it for the first time. It really isn't that tall and is at it's peak flow because of snow higher up.
We went with Brian and Sarah Cain, two new friends of ours.

This Friday we will head to Joshua Tree for the night. Some people we are going with have telescopes and climbing gear. Kate and I aren't much of climbers but running around on the rocks is tons of fun, right Aunt Mary Beth, Jeremy and Jason (the only one's who have experienced it with me)? The flowers should be out and it's supposed to rain in Loma Linda so maybe it will be cloudy in the park. This will make for some great photography!

Today I failed. I studied and studied and studied. I was warned about this class and how hopeless it is to study and they were right. No one does well in this class. Bio statistics. 15 questions 50% of your grade. When you tell the other PT classes where you are going they grimace and reminisce about how much they hated it. I don't hate it, I kinda like it...it's just impossible. Because the class always does horrible as a whole the class is graded on a curve. I know what I need to know as a PT but no one's grades are ever good in this class.

Press on...
